Watch: Lee Seung Gi Embarks On An Emotional Hunt For A Serial Killer In Sneak Peek Of "Mouse"
tvN has shared an action-packed sneak peek of its upcoming drama “Mouse”!
“Mouse” is a mystery thriller set in a world where humans can identify psychopaths through a DNA test on a fetus in a mother’s womb. Lee Seung Gi will star in the drama as Jung Ba Reum, an upstanding rookie police officer who is passionate about justice, while Lee Hee Joon will play Go Moo Chi, a hardened detective whose parents were murdered when he was young and is willing to resort to any means necessary to avenge their deaths.
The newly released highlight clip begins with Jung Ba Reum wondering out loud, “A predator in the top 1 percent of psychopaths. Would they be a truly terrifying, horrific monster?”
As the captions tease an “unexpected alliance” between “neighborhood cop Jung Ba Reum” and “lawless detective Go Moo Chi,” Jung Ba Reum is seen struggling with his job as a rookie cop at a local police station. When he approaches Oh Bong Yi (played by Park Ju Hyun) to ask her something, she responds dismissively, “You still haven’t caught them?” Jung Ba Reum timidly replies, “Because there are no witnesses.”
Someone says in voice-over, “I don’t think Jung Ba Reum is cut out for this line of work at all,” and after a run-in with the rookie, Go Moo Chi wonders to himself, “Is he kind or stupid?” He goes on to warn, “Do you think catching a serial killer is the same as being on neighborhood patrol duty? Those bastards need to be dealt with by someone like me, who has nothing to lose, with only vindictiveness in his heart.” As if to prove his point, the clip then shows Go Moo Chi pointing a gun at someone as he threatens, “I’m on my way to kill you now.”
In spite of Go Moo Chi’s doubts, Jung Ba Reum expresses his determination to solve the serial killer case. Meanwhile, Choi Hong Joo (played by Kyung Soo Jin) mysteriously says, “An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. In this way, they must suffer the same wounds that they inflicted on others.”
As a crying Jung Ba Reum shivers in fear, Go Moo Chi fiercely grabs him by the chin and orders him, “Starting now, tell me everything you saw, without leaving out a single detail. That’s the only way we can catch that bastard, got it?”
The video ends with Jung Ba Reum pleading with the detective, “I want to learn from you. Please include me in this investigation.”
“Mouse” premieres on March 3 at 10:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki. In the meantime, check out the new highlight clip below!
