Kim Myung Soo Enlists In The Marine Corps

Kim Myung Soo has now enlisted for his mandatory military service.

On February 22, Kim Myung Soo’s agency Management Esang confirmed that he enlisted that day in the Marine Corps. After five weeks of basic training, he’ll be carrying out active service.

The day before, Kim Myung Soo shared a video message for fans. He said, “What I want to say is this. If you stay healthy, be well, and do what you need to do, then I’ll go and work hard at doing what I need to do. Then I’ll come back around August of next year and show you a good version of myself. So I hope that you’ll all stay healthy until then. I’ll be back!” He shared that his social media accounts will continue to post videos and photos of him every now and then, so he encouraged fans to look at them out if they miss him.

“I’ll return as a new version of myself, a ‘part two,” he said. “Thank you, everyone.”

Kim Myung Soo debuted under the name L in the group INFINITE. Although he departed from Woolim Entertainment in August 2019, he is still part of INFINITE. He recently starred in the KBS 2TV drama “Royal Secret Agent,” and he also shared his first solo single “Memory” ahead of his enlistment.
