Watch: BTS Delights With Performances Of Tracks From “BE” And Coldplay's "Fix You" On "MTV Unplugged"
BTS showcased their latest songs and a cover of Coldplay for “MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS”!
“MTV Unplugged Presents: BTS,” which aired on February 23 (local time), was the special BTS installment of “MTV Unplugged,” a series that began in 1989 and features musical artists performing unplugged versions of their songs. BTS shared performances of their songs “Telepathy,” “Blue & Grey,” “Life Goes On,” and “Dynamite,” as well as a cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You.”
To fans’ delight, Suga, who had taken a break from performing to recover from a shoulder surgery, was back on stage with the group. He shared, “It’s been a long time since I greeted you on stage. I’ve missed the stage a lot while I was recovering. Now that I’m performing with everyone, I feel content and happy.”
Jimin added, “[I’m happy about] sharing our stories about preparing for the album and our everyday lives, but more than anything, I’m most glad about being able to perform as a full group.”
BTS revealed performances of “Telepathy” and “Blue & Grey” from their most recent album “BE” for the first time. The “Telepathy” stage exuded a carefree and fun vibe, while the “Blue & Grey” performance was more calm and soothing.
Next, they shared performances of their hit songs “Life Goes On” and “Dynamite.”
The boy group surprised fans with a special cover of Coldplay’s “Fix You,” explaining that the song had given them comfort and that they wanted their fans to get the same feeling.
Jungkook said to their fans ARMY, “I wish we could meet our ARMYs as soon as possible. We’ll continue to stay by your side as BTS with good music just like now.”
V commented, “We BTS will bring great music, comfort, and healing to your 2021. ARMY, I really miss you, and I purple you a lot.”
