Lee Joon Gi Talks About His Spring Bucket List, His Goal As An Actor, And More
Actor Lee Joon Gi recently shot a pictorial for the March issue of the magazine The Star.
The photo shoot took place on Jeju Island, where Lee Joon Gi posed in front of a modern hotel and impressed the staff with his horseback riding skills despite it being four or five years since he had last ridden a horse.
In the interview, he said, “It’s my first time on Jeju Island in about 10 years, so it feels like I’m seeing it anew. I think it’s become more mystical and beautiful. It feels like I was able to work and rest at the same time.”
Lee Joon Gi had received critical acclaim for his role in the 2020 drama “Flower of Evil.” He said, “I’m grateful for having received so much love and excessive praise. The drama left a big impression on me because it felt like the first time in a while that I’d done an in-depth and heavier project that still had a warm humane side. I’m carefully looking over good scripts and thinking about what to do next. I don’t know what project I will be returning with, but I hope that I will be able to give people joy, comfort, and hope through a good story with a good message. Please wait a little longer.”
Asked if he had a spring bucket list, he said, “Before COVID-19, I had little interest in traveling. I worried that going traveling alone would make me lonelier. The times when I’d go abroad to meet fans were the happiest trips for me. But now that things like travel have become impossible, I’ve started to miss people and to feel the desire to freely roam the world. If the situation improves, then I’d like to go on a trip on my own.”
Lee Joon Gi also shared how he talks himself through his personal difficulties. “I think hard about all the things that opened my potential and helped me get to where I am,” he said. “I remember the values that I hold dear. I remind myself that I need to value myself.”
He concluded, “I think that we’re all struggling through a really difficult time. One of the most difficult things for me is not being able to meet fans. This year, I want to give them greater happiness through a good project. I hope that we can meet once again and rejoice. I sincerely thank you for always sending me your love and support.”
