Red Velvet's Yeri Makes Donation On Her Birthday To Help Single Mothers And Infants
Red Velvet’s Yeri celebrated her birthday by making a generous donation!
On Yeri’s birthday of March 5, she donated 10 million won (approximately $8,840) to Jusarang Community’s Baby Box to help single-mother families and “baby box” infants. The organization protects and rescues abandoned babies through its dropbox program and it offers counselling for single mothers, provides them with baby care kits, and supports them financially. It’s shared that Yeri plans to produce special child-care kits for single mothers raising children under the age of 36 months on their own.
Yeri said, “On my birthday, I wanted to share even a bit of the love that I’ve received and give back. I hope that everyone including children will stay healthy and have strength during this time that is difficult because of COVID-19.”
Pastor Lee Jong Rak, a founder of Jusarang Community, shared, “We’re grateful for the valuable support sent for single mothers during this time of financial difficulty due to COVID-19.” He added, “It’s a great help for the independence of single mothers who have decided to raise their child.”
Yeri recently made her acting debut through the tvN one-episode short drama “Mint Condition.”
Happy birthday, Yeri!
