Brave Girls Gives Update On Brave Brothers' Promise For Their First Music Show Win, Talks About Struggles During Hiatus, And More
On March 16, Brave Girls appeared on the MBC FM4U radio show “Kim Shin Young’s Hope Song at Noon” and opened up about their first music show win, their hiatus, and more.
The girl group recently took their first-ever music show win on SBS’s “Inkigayo” with their resurgent hit song “Rollin.'” They said, “When we heard we were a candidate for first place, we grew teary. We didn’t prepare a speech because we didn’t expect to win.” Then they shared, “We couldn’t have come all the way here without Brave Brothers (the CEO of their agency). We’re really grateful to our parents.”
Previously, Brave Brothers had promised to buy them Chanel bags if they win first place. Concerning that, the members explained, “We didn’t receive them yet, but he said he ordered them online.” Then they joked, “It’s a good thing we remembered.”
Brave Girls is especially busy nowadays, and they talked about how their lives changed after the resurgence of “Rollin.'” They shared, “It’s the first time we’ve had a packed schedule since our debut. These days, we sleep about one to two hours a day. Last year, we weren’t able to do our activities properly. We would like to do them if we get the chance. We want to become ‘summer queens,’ so we’re pushing our CEO for a new song.”
Brave Girls experienced many struggles during their hiatus, and up until the end of February, they were discussing whether the group should disband.
Yuna commented, “I didn’t know what to do during our hiatus, and everything was uncertain. I thought I should do something so I exercised and got certified as a barista.” Yoojung added, “There is still a vague sense of anxiety. I wonder how I should solve this.”
The members shared they had been wanting to participate in SBS’s “Running Man” and actually received an offer to appear in it. They expressed their wish to also appear on MBC’s “The Manager” and “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”).
Lastly, Brave Girls said, “We will work harder and show you the best of us.”
