Watch: Kim So Hyun And Na In Woo Are Romantic On Camera And Playful Off Camera On Set Of "River Where The Moon Rises"
“River Where the Moon Rises” released a new behind-the-scenes look at the drama!
A reinterpretation of a classic Goguryeo folk tale, “River Where the Moon Rises” retells the famous love story of Princess Pyeonggang (Kim So Hyun) and On Dal (Na In Woo).
The new making-of video begins with Kim So Hyun and Na In Woo filming the sweet farewell scene. Kim So Hyun spots the camera and subtly poses with the peace sign. She chuckles to herself but quickly fixes her expression and focuses on the crew talking in front of her.
Then the two actors rehearse the scene with the director’s input. He encourages Na In Woo to kiss Kim So Hyun, and she smiles shyly as she jokingly warns, “Director!” The director humorously quips, “What?!” Everyone bursts into laughter, and the caption states he fully supports the on-screen couple.
On screen, Kim So Hyun and Na In Woo portray a lovey-dovey couple, but once the cameras stop rolling, they dive into playful mode. Na In Woo pretends to slice her neck with his hand, and she returns the gesture by pretending to smack his throat. When filming starts, they professionally immerse into their roles, and the clip shares a glimpse of their tender kiss scene.
Next, the two actors rehearse an important scene with the director’s guidance. The director asks them if it’ll be possible for them to kiss, and they lean towards each other to check. Right before filming, the director comments this kiss isn’t just going to be a peck on the lips. Na In Woo ducks his head in embarrassment, and Kim So Hyun smiles shyly before replying, “All right.” The director sees Na In Woo’s reaction and jokes, “Why are you getting more embarrassed [than her]?” Kim So Hyun laughs and lightly smacks her co-star before saying something to him.
