Spoilers
On April 1, JTBC released new stills of the upcoming episode of “Beyond Evil.” In the previous episode, Lee Dong Shik (Shin Ha Kyun) and Han Joo Won (Yeo Jin Goo) came face-to-face with a terrible truth. Park Jung Je (Choi Dae Hoon) finally recalled the incident with Lee Yoo Yeon (Moon Joo Yeon) 21 years ago and said, “I killed her. I killed her with my car when she collapsed. Dong Shik, just kill me now.”
But Lee Dong Shik reacted unexpectedly to this confession of his sister’s murder, choosing simply to send Park Jung Je back on his way. Seeing Han Joo Won’s reaction to this, Lee Dong Shik asked him, “What would you do if your family committed something beyond your wildest imagination? Can I trust you not to break when you know the truth?” Han Joo Won was thrown into chaos by the implication that his own father, Han Gi Hwan (Choi Jin Ho) was also behind the attack that killed Lee Yoo Yeon.
The new stills show Han Joo Won determined to get to the bottom of the truth as he faces off against his father. In the preview, Lee Dong Shik said, “Every path leads back to your father,” and threw suspicion on the relationships between Han Gi Hwan, Do Hae Won (Gil Hae Yeon), and Lee Chang Jin (Heo Sung Tae). Han Joo Won searches for a chink in his father’s armor, but Han Gi Hwan is no easy opponent for his son to face.
The production staff stated, “There will be a psychological battle between one trying to reveal the truth and one trying to hide it. Please look forward to seeing what choices Han Joo Won and Lee Dong Shik will make in the face of decisive evidence that flips the script. There will be changes in character relationships as well as unimaginable plot twists.”
This episode of “Beyond Evil” airs on April 2 at 11 p.m. KST.
