4 Reasons To Tune In To Yoo Jae Suk's New KBS Variety Show "Come Back Home"
Are you looking forward to the premiere of Yoo Jae Suk’s new variety show ‘Come Back Home”?
“Come Back Home” has been marketed as Yoo Jae Suk’s return to the world of KBS variety shows. It is a reality program where stars visit the places they lived when they first came to Seoul and encourage the youth who are currently living there and pursuing their dreams. Joining Yoo Jae Suk as MCs are rapper Lee Young Ji and comedian Lee Yong Jin.
Here are four reasons to tune in to the premiere on April 3:
A new “Yoo Line”
Although Yoo Jae Suk has denied the existence of a “Yoo line,” one of the reasons he is known as the “national MC” is because he creates such good chemistry with whoever he’s working with. In this case, it’s a brand-new combination of Yoo Jae Suk, Lee Young Ji, and Lee Yong Jin. Lee Yong Jin is a multitalented entertainer who brings his ready wit to the table, while Lee Young Ji is a new-generation entertainer with a unique and unmatched energy. At the press conference, Yoo Jae Suk said, “We’re a good team that knows when to intervene and when to stand back. Our back-and-forth is also top notch.”
Stars’ first homes
“Come Back Home” invites different stars as guests in each episode to reflect back on their first time in Seoul and revisit the place where they took their first steps toward their dream. It will be a novel experience for viewers to see the “origins” of celebrities who have risen high since then. The first episode features MAMAMOO’s Wheein and Hwasa, who were friends since middle school in Jeonju, visiting the rooftop apartment where the four MAMAMOO members lived as trainees. The celebrities will show their human side not as people in the spotlight but as people reliving the days of their youth.
Parallel experiences
The “house” serves as a connection between the celebrities who lived there once and the ordinary youth who live there now. The star guests will meet the youth who are currently living in the place that they first lived when they came to Seoul and relate and sympathize with each other in their problems. The stars will be able to see how much their old home has changed, while viewers will take interest in seeing how young people are living today.
Remodeling challenge!
“Come Back Home” will also share a small gift to encourage the youth pursuing their dreams in the old houses. After discussions with the residents about the discomforts of their home, the cast and crew will remodel their house and add a small bit of romance to their ordinary life in Seoul. Interior designer Jason will join in this effort, helping young people who live alone and dream of making their place their own.
“Come Back Home” premieres on April 3 at 10:30 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
