Kim Min Kyu In Talks For New JTBC Drama Along With EXID's Hani
Kim Min Kyu may be appearing in his first TV drama!
On April 4, SpoTV News reported that Kim Min Kyu had been cast in JTBC’s new drama “Idol” (literal title).
In a statement for Newsen, a source from Jellyfish Entertainment clarified, “Kim Min Kyu has received the script for JTBC’s ‘Idol’ and is reviewing it.”
“Idol” will be directed by No Jong Chan, whose works include “Personal Taste,” “Cruel Palace – War of Flowers,” and “Clean with Passion for Now,” and scripted by Jung Yoon Jung of “Tale of Arang,” “Monstar,” “Incomplete Life,” and “Bride of the Water God.” It was previously revealed that EXID’s Hani is in discussion to play the main character in the drama.
Kim Min Kyu first appeared on TV through Mnet’s “Produce X 101” and made his acting debut with the web drama “Pop Out Boy!” alongside Weki Meki‘s Kim Doyeon. He is currently an MC on SBS MTV’s music show “The Show” and has starred on variety shows like “Friendship Tour: Like It.”
