BTS's Japanese Single 'Film Out' Tops Oricon's Weekly Digital Singles Chart

BTS’s new Japanese song “Film Out” is continuing to sweep the charts!

On April 2 KST, BTS released their new single “Film Out,” which was co-composed by Jungkook and will be included in their upcoming Japanese compilation album “BTS, The Best” (due out on June 16).

According to Oricon on April 7, BTS’s “Film Out” placed No. 1 on the weekly digital singles chart for the week of March 29 to April 4. The new single dominated the weekly chart with a total of 32,947 downloads during a total of three days including the day of its release.

Although BTS has placed No. 1 on Oricon’s weekly digital album chart and streaming chart, this marks the first time the group has topped the weekly digital singles chart.

From the first day of its release until April 4, “Film Out” maintained its No. 1 spot on Oricon’s daily digital singles chart for four consecutive days. The single not only topped Oricon’s chart, but it also placed No. 1 for consecutive days on major music streaming sites in Japan such as Line Music, AWA, and mora.

As of 11 a.m. KST on April 6, the song placed No. 1 on the iTunes Top Songs charts in 99 regions over the world, and the music video for “Film Out” achieved over 29 million views in the first 24 hours, breaking a record for the greatest number of views in 24 hours among BTS’s original Japanese songs. As of 11 a.m. KST on April 7, the view count for the music video has already surpassed 61 million views.
