'The Penthouse' Star Lee Ji Ah Makes Donation To Help Students Affected By COVID-19 Pandemic

Lee Ji Ah recently made a generous donation to a meaningful cause!

On April 9, the Green Umbrella Children’s Foundation (also known as ChildFund Korea) revealed that the actress had made a thoughtful technology donation to help young students in need. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, schools have been increasingly relying on remote learning to teach students—which has adversely affected children from low-income families, who often lack the devices they need to receive a proper education through online learning.

In the hopes of giving practical, tangible help to students in need, Lee Ji Ah came up with the idea of donating devices to young students who lack the technology necessary for this new educational environment.

ChildFund Korea president Lee Je Hoon remarked, “After COVID-19, educational disparity due to economic inequality has grown more severe, and as remote learning becomes a part of our everyday lives, we need continuous support to help children from low-income families.”

“We are grateful to Lee Ji Ah for the interest and support she has given these children,” he continued, “and we will appreciatively use the valuable items she has donated to reduce the gap in development faced by children.”

After recently wrapping up SBS’s “The Penthouse 2,” Lee Ji Ah is currently preparing to begin filming the third season of the hit drama.
