Han Ye Ri Signs With U.S. Management Company + Addresses Whether She'll Be Attending Oscars For "Minari"
Han Ye Ri is making moves in the United States!
On April 8 local time, Han Ye Ri was revealed to have signed with Echo Lake Entertainment for U.S. representation. The actress recently made her critically-acclaimed stateside debut in the award–winning film “Minari,” which is nominated for no less than six Academy Awards (and has already made Oscar history in the process). Han Ye Ri is also currently up for her own Independent Spirit Award in the Best Supporting Female category.
Although Han Ye Ri will now be represented by Echo Lake Entertainment within the United States, she will continue to be represented by her original agency Saram Entertainment in Korea.
With the Academy Awards coming up on April 25, curiosity has been growing over whether Han Ye Ri will be attending the ceremony in person. On April 9 KST, Saram Entertainment revealed that the actress was “leaning towards attending,” but had not yet fully cleared her schedule.
A representative of the agency stated, “[Han Ye Ri] has received a formal invitation from the Academy, and she is currently in the midst of rearranging her schedule so that it will be possible for her to attend.”
The 93rd Academy Awards will air live on April 25 at 8 p.m. ET.
