Lee Je Hoon Talks About His Ideal Type, Past Dating Experience, And Stunt Driving Scenes In "Taxi Driver"
Actor Lee Je Hoon appeared as a guest on the April 11 episode of SBS’s “My Ugly Duckling.”
Lee Je Hoon is currently starring in the new SBS drama “Taxi Driver,” as a former special forces officer who works for a mysterious taxi service that gets revenge on behalf of those cannot get justice from the law. He said, “Normally, when you film a driving scene for a drama, you put the car on top of a tow truck and film. But for this, we put cameras on a real car and I drove it myself.”
He continued, “I got to film the scene in which the car spins 180 degrees and reverses, which I’d only seen in movies. It was a lot of fun, and I hope that viewers enjoy it, but it should definitely not be tried at home.”
Asked by Seo Jang Hoon what he thought was his greatest strength, Lee Je Hoon replied, “If you talk with me, time goes by really fast.” Shin Dong Yup said that he had heard that Lee Je Hoon had described himself as not being funny and Lee Je Hoon said, “I’m not really that funny and I’m not good at talking. When I talk, I want to amuse people, but I’m not good at it. I’ve often thought that I’m not an interesting person.”
He was also asked about his ideal type, and he said, “Someone that I can communicate well with. Someone who has similar tastes in music or movies as me.”
In response to a question about being dumped, he said, “Of course I’ve been dumped. There was a point where I was distant because I was busy, but the other person needed love and affection. It was my fault.” He added, “In my twenties, I was the type to approach without hesitation. Nowadays I watch quietly from behind. Sometimes it even works out well.”
Lee Je Hoon also shared that his most “celebrity-like” celebrity encounter was with actress Lee Young Ae. “I was eating at the food court at a shopping mall when I could see a bright light in the distance,” he said. “Just glancing at her, I could see she was a woman, and she was with her daughter and son. She was really far away, but she had such a bright aura that I looked twice and saw that it was Lee Young Ae. I realized that someone could really shine even from far away after that.”
