Watch: Lee Je Hoon, Esom, And More Introduce Their "Taxi Driver" Characters
SBS has dropped the first behind-the-scenes clip of “Taxi Driver”!
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Taxi Driver” tells the story of a mysterious taxi service that delivers vengeance on behalf of victims who are unable to get justice through the law. Lee Je Hoon will star as Kim Do Gi, a former special forces officer who works as a driver for the service, while Esom will star as passionate prosecutor Kang Ha Na, who begins to grow suspicious of both Kim Do Gi and the unusual taxi service.
The video starts off with Lee Je Hoon introducing himself and his character. He continues, “I was really looking forward to the start of filming. Despite the difficult situation we’re in [due to COVID-19], the producers prepared everything safely so I was able to focus on filming and I’m deeply grateful.”
Ahead of filming, he diligently practices his action scenes with staff members, making sure to ask questions. After the cameras stop rolling, he runs to check up on his fellow actors.
Next, Esom introduces her character as a strong prosecutor who gets called a “freak” by her seniors and colleagues. As she begins to film, the caption labels her character Kang Ha Na as someone who chases Kim Do Gi like a bulldozer.
Kim Eui Sung and Pyo Ye Jin also introduce their characters, who are both a part of Kim Do Gi’s Rainbow Taxi service. Kim Eui Sung plays Jang Sung Chul, the CEO of Rainbow Taxi. Pyo Ye Jin plays Go Eun, whom she describes as “the youngest on the team, but a very strong and smart hacker. She’s a character who has a strong hold on all the old men on the team.” Lastly, Cha Ji Yeon introduces her character, Baek Sung Mi, as a “godmother type,” and discusses the positive, comforting vibes on set.
At the end, all the actors preview the exciting stories that will unfold in “Taxi Driver,” asking viewers to stay tuned and look forward to their drama.
