BTS has made history on the Billboard charts with their latest release!
For the week ending on April 17, BTS’s new Japanese single “Film Out” debuted on Billboard’s Hot 100 (its weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States across all genres) at No. 81, making it the group’s first Japanese song ever to enter the chart.
“Film Out” also debuted at No. 1 on both Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, where it became the group’s first Japanese song to top the chart, and its World Digital Song Sales chart, where it became the group’s 27th song to reach No. 1.
With this latest achievement, BTS is now officially the first artist ever to top the World Digital Song Sales chart with 27 different songs, breaking their own record for the most No. 1s achieved on the chart by any artist in history.
“Film Out,” which was co-composed by Jungkook, will be included in BTS’s upcoming Japanese compilation album “BTS, The Best,” which is due out on June 16.
