Watch: Yeo Jin Goo And Shin Ha Kyun Immerse Themselves Into Their Roles Behind The Scenes Of "Beyond Evil"
JTBC’s “Beyond Evil” released a new behind-the-scenes video of the actors and production team hard at work!
The making-of video begins with Yeo Jin Goo testing out a golf club as a weapon. He shares, “I’m worried. Tonight is a bit cold. I have to wear [warm clothing], so I can film the rain scene while staying warm.” When a train passes by above him, Yeo Jin Goo randomly comments, “There’s a lot of trains and subways in Korea. It comes very frequently. This is like the traffic hub.”
Nonetheless, when filming begins, Yeo Jin Goo immediately gets serious and into character. Despite the pouring rain, Yeo Jin Goo focuses intently on acting. Between breaks, the actor watches “Beyond Evil” with his phone and monitors his performance closely even though he’s thoroughly soaked by the rain. The director praises him endlessly and tells him to stay dry between filming scenes.
In another clip with Shin Ha Kyun, the two actors thoroughly rehearse their movements with the director. After checking the scene line by line, Shin Ha Kyun and Yeo Jin Goo input their suggestions to best capture the emotions of their characters realistically.
Due to the rain and tears, Yeo Jin Goo is barely able to open his eyes after filming. When they finally wrap up, Yeo Jin Goo states, “I didn’t cry. It’s just that the rain water came down to my eyes.” Although his eyes are swollen, he adamantly continues, “Tears did not come out of my eyes. Really. What are tears? I don’t cry.”
In the distance, Shin Ha Kyun is also drying himself with his hair pulled back under a towel. As the making-of camera tries to film him, Yeo Jin Goo covers up the camera and shares, “No, I have to protect him! Don’t film him!” The cast and actors cheer as they bid farewell to each other for the night after a successful day of filming.
