“Mouse” is about an innocent and upright police officer named Jung Ba Reum (Lee Seung Gi) and a hardened detective named Go Moo Chi (Lee Hee Joon) who believes in nothing but revenge against the serial killer who murdered his parents. The two team up to track down an evil psychopathic predator.

Despite having different personalities, Jung Ba Reum and Go Moo Chi have successfully worked together to solve various cases. Below are three moments in which their chemistry shined:

Spoilers

1. Investigating cases together

Jung Ba Reum and Go Moo Chi have used their unrivaled investigative instincts to solve various crime cases. After his brain surgery, Jung Ba Reum in particular showcased a completely different investigative ability as if a psychopath had actually entered his brain. Jung Ba Reum caught all the evidence Go Moo Chi had missed, making him very satisfied with Jung Ba Reum’s development. The way the two gathered clues together like they were completing a jigsaw puzzle and gave viewers thrilling satisfaction.

2. Contrasting personalities

With his absent-minded and pure personality, Jung Ba Reum is completely different from Go Moo Chi and his fiery personality. Jung Ba Reum feels jealous every now and then when Go Moo Chi is affectionate towards Oh Bong Yi (Park Ju Hyun) because he feels sorry for her. After the brain surgery, Jung Ba Reum struggled because he couldn’t restrain his newfound violent instincts and ending up knocking out Go Moo Chi. In the last broadcast, when Jung Ba Reum tried to harm Lee Jae Shik (Kim Moon Ho) after his killer instinct awakened, Go Moo Chi unexpectedly showed up at the site. Viewers are curious to find out if Go Moo Chi will be able to figure out that Jung Ba Reum is the real culprit who killed Woo Hyung Chul (Song Jae Hee) and Kang Duk Soo (Jung Eun Pyo).

3. Close friendship

Jung Ba Reum and Go Moo Chi go back and forth from bickering with each other to being close friends as if they’ve never fought. The two reunited one year after Jung Ba Reum’s surgery, and they ran towards each other to hug when they recognized each other right away. When Jung Ba Reum knocked out Go Moo Chi, he pretended as if nothing had happened the next day while sharing a meal together. The two worry, sympathize, and proactively step forward whenever something happens to the other, depicting their close chemistry.

The production team shared, “Lee Seung Gi and Lee Hee Joon both understand their characters’ circumstances perfectly, so they’ve showcased extraordinary acting to the point that they don’t need much directing. Please show lots of attention to the upcoming story to see whether the two people will be able to continue their close friendship as they have until now or if they’ll face an opposite situation.”

The next episode of “Mouse” airs on April 21 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
