Watch: "Kingdom" Groups Get Emotional Over Results + Are Amazed By Each Other's Performances In New Preview
Mnet’s “Kingdom: Legendary War” has shared a sneak peek of its upcoming episode!
On April 22, the idol competition show aired a preview of next week’s episode, in which the contestants will wrap up the second official round of competition that kicked off this week.
The new clip begins with flashes of Stray Kids’ cover of BTOB’s “I’ll Be Your Man,” ATEEZ’s cover of iKON’s “Rhythm Ta,” and BTOB’s cover of Stray Kids’ “Back Door“—as well as the other groups’ awestruck reactions as they watch from their respective waiting rooms.
After watching all of the performances, iKON’s Chanwoo worries, “This is our second time voting, but I think it will be way too hard to choose [whom to vote for] today.” His bandmate Yunhyeong agrees, “This is way too hard.”
The contestants then gather on stage as they nervously await the results of the votes by the six competing groups (which count for 25 percent of their total score for the round), as well as the evaluations by the panel of experts (also 25 percent).
TVXQ’s Changmin states that he will be announcing the results starting from sixth place, leading SF9’s Dawon to fret, “I feel like we’ll be called for sixth place.” ATEEZ’s San worries, “I think it’ll be us,” while Stray Kids’ Han similarly remarks, “Why do I feel like it’ll be us?”
After hearing the group in sixth place, all of the groups seem to respond with shock. Later, THE BOYZ’s Sunwoo turns to his bandmates and says somberly, “Let’s remember this feeling.”
The next episode of “Kingdom” will air on April 29 at 7:50 p.m. KST. In the meantime, check out the new preview below!
