Lee Do Hyun And Go Min Si Share What Viewers Can Look Forward To In "Youth Of May"
Ahead of the premiere of their new drama “Youth of May,” Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si shared their thoughts on the story and its charms!
“Youth of May” is a new romance drama about the fateful meeting of medical student Hwang Hee Tae (played by Lee Do Hyun) and nurse Kim Myung Hee (played by Go Min Si), who fall in love amidst the whirlwind of events that take place in May 1980—a historically significant time period in South Korea.
Describing what he considers the drama’s greatest strengths, Lee Do Hyun remarked, “I think I was really drawn to the drama’s wistfulness and the feelings of heartache it inspires, which I found very charming.”
As for how he’d prepared for the role of Hwang Hee Tae, the actor shared, “Because I didn’t actually live through the era [in which the drama takes place], I turned to my parents and the people around me for advice, and I also spent a lot of time looking up information during my preparations.”
Meanwhile, Go Min Si teased that the scene she is most looking forward to is the scene in the premiere where she gets ready for her first date with Hwang Hee Tae.
The actress explained, “I think it’s a scene that shows a side of Myung Hee that viewers weren’t able to see before then, and it captures it perfectly all at once. So I’m most looking forward to the scene where she gets ready to meet up with Hee Tae.”
“Youth of May” premieres on May 3 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki.
