Kim Sejeong Joins Ahn Hyo Seop In Talks For New Rom-Com Drama Based On Webtoon
Kim Sejeong and Ahn Hyo Seop may star in a new romance drama together!
On May 6, Sports Chosun reported that Kim Sejeong had been cast as the female lead in the upcoming drama “A Business Proposal” (working title).
In response, a source from Kim Sejeong’s agency Jellyfish Entertainment clarified, “Kim Sejeong has received an offer to star in ‘A Business Proposal’ and is reviewing it.”
“A Business Proposal” is a romantic comedy about an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO in place of a friend while hiding her identity. The story was first published by author Hae Hwa as a web novel in 2017 and produced into a webtoon in 2018. In August 2020, KakaoPage announced that they would be adapting the web novel and webtoon into a drama.
Kim Sejeong was offered the role of Shin Ha Ri, a regular office employee. When she goes on a blind date in place of her friend, she’s shocked to realize that her date is her company’s CEO.
It was previously revealed that Ahn Hyo Seop is in talks for the male lead role Kang Tae Mu, while Jo Bo Ah is considering an offer for the same role as Kim Sejeong.
Kim Sejeong has been steadily building her acting career. Her latest drama, OCN’s “The Uncanny Counter,” achieved the highest ratings in OCN history for its finale. It was recently shared that Kim Sejeong is also in discussion to star in the Korean remake of the Japanese drama “Sleepeeer Hit!”
