BTS's "Break The Silence: The Movie" Wins Best Music Documentary At 2021 MTV Movie & TV Awards
BTS has taken home an award for their documentary film!
The annual MTV Movie & TV Awards, titled “MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted” this year, was held on May 17 (local time). At the event, BTS’s documentary “Break the Silence: The Movie” was announced as the winner of the Best Music Documentary award, a socially-voted category.
“Break the Silence: The Movie” is a documentary film that goes behind the scenes of BTS’s “Love Yourself: Speak Yourself” stadium tour.
Other nominees in the category were “Ariana Grande: Excuse Me, I Love You,” “Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell,” “Billie Eilish: The World’s a Little Blurry,” “Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil,” “Shawn Mendes: In Wonder,” “Taylor Swift: Miss Americana,” “The Bee Gees: How Can You Mend a Broken Heart,” “The New York Times Presents: Framing Britney Spears,” and “Tina.”
In an acceptance video, RM said on behalf of BTS, “Thank you MTV for the Best Music Documentary award. BTS world tour ‘Love Yourself: Speak Yourself’ was an unforgettable experience for us and and ARMY as well. We’re really glad that these records were appreciated by so many.” The group exclaimed together, “Thank you MTV and ARMY!”
