SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan Talks About Joining "Amazing Saturday" Idol Spin-Off, His Desire To Do More Activities As An Artist, And More
SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan participated in a pictorial and interview with the magazine Elle!
This was his first individual photo shoot since his debut. He posed in bright and classy outfits that showed his youthful and delicate side. Concerning the concept of this pictorial, he commented, “There are a lot of people who see me as a bright person. I appreciate that they think of me that way, but there are times when I read books and meditate alone.”
In the interview, Seungkwan shared his thoughts about joining the variety show “Job Dongsan” as an MC. “Job Dongsan” is a program about an agency that helps kids learn about their dream jobs.
Laughing, he said, “It is not difficult to deal with the cast members because I like children a lot. Children also have their own standards and strictness. They remind me of my childhood when I was told by the townspeople that I was ‘intelligent.'”
Seungkwan also talked about the “Amazing Saturday” spin-off. Titled “Idol Dictation Contest” (literal translation), this new TVing original show will follow the same format as “Amazing Saturday.” Just like in the original variety program, the star-studded cast of idols must listen to snippets of songs and write down the correct lyrics in order to win the prize of delicious food from all over Korea.
He commented, “It must be a fixed program! Filming was so much fun. Sometimes I’m worried that I’m only showing myself as an entertainer. I think I just need to show more of my side as SEVENTEEN’s vocalist. That’s why I’m constantly uploading videos of me covering songs.”
The full interview and pictorial will be available in Elle’s June issue.
