BTS Sweeps iTunes Charts All Over The World With "Butter"
BTS is dominating music charts across the globe with their latest song!
On May 21 at 1 p.m. KST, BTS made their highly-anticipated return with the new English-language single “Butter.” Within hours of its release, the song soared to the top of iTunes charts in numerous countries all over the world.
As of 9:11 a.m. KST on May 22, “Butter” had already topped iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 101 different regions, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Australia.
Additionally, BTS’s music video for “Butter” has been smashing records left and right on YouTube. Within just 13 minutes of its release, “Butter” had already become the fastest music video in YouTube history to hit 10 million views—and in just under 21 hours, “Butter” became the fastest music video ever to surpass 100 million views. (BTS also held the previous records for both milestones, set by their 2020 hit “Dynamite.”)
BTS will be performing “Butter” for the first time on television at the 2021 Billboard Music Awards, where they are currently nominated for four awards—their highest number yet. The ceremony will air on May 23 at 8 p.m. ET.
