BTS's "Butter" MV Achieves Impressive Number Of Views In First 24 Hours

BTS’s newest music video racked up an amazing number of views within the first 24 hours of its release!

On May 21 at 1 p.m. KST, BTS made their highly-anticipated return with their new English-language digital single “Butter.”

24 hours later, on May 22 at 1 p.m. KST, BTS’s music video for “Butter” had already amassed a total of approximately 112,855,167 views on YouTube.

Although YouTube has not yet confirmed the music video’s official 24-hour view count, it appears that “Butter” may have set a new record for the highest number of views achieved by any music video in YouTube history within its first 24 hours.

If YouTube confirms the figure, BTS will have broken their own record of 101.1 million views set by their 2020 hit “Dynamite” last year. However, as YouTube’s official view count is often different from view counts that are measured in real time, the official 24-hour view count will be announced at a later date.
