Watch: Go Min Si And Lee Do Hyun Are A Hilarious Comedic Duo Behind The Scenes Of "Youth Of May"
“Youth of May” released a new making-of video!
The new video begins with Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si rehearsing a falling scene together, and Lee Do Hyun makes sure to ask if Go Min Si isn’t hurt after the fall. When the director tells them to act surprised, the two make silly faces in slow motion. Go Min Si suggests, “Try making a slow motion face of a baby crying,” and Lee Do Hyun scrunches his face up right away. Lee Do Hyun also has to lie down in a puddle of coffee, and his shirt is thoroughly soaked through by the final take.
Lee Do Hyun forgets one of his lines during his serenade, and he explains, “It’s because I’m so nervous [about playing the guitar].” After they wrap up the take, Lee Do Hyun teaches Go Min Si how to play the guitar. The two actors pretend to switch roles as they recite each other’s lines.
Outdoors, Go Min Si spells out her character’s name in the sand with her foot. Lee Do Hyun quickly joins in on the fun, causing Go Min Si to comment, “He’s invading again.” Lee Do Hyun writes, “May 3,” the date of the drama’s premiere since it had yet to premiere at the time of the filming. Getting overly excited, Lee Do Hyun continues to advertise the date while Go Min Si quickly escapes the scene.
Between filming, Lee Do Hyun gets silly again as he pretends to be a train passing by. He shares, “Too many trains pass by here. There’s too many airplanes also,” and he pretends to fly by Go Min Si like an airplane. While Lee Do Hyun is busy filming, Go Min Si shares that her favorite bread is a croissant, which she enjoys with an iced Americano.
The two leads also get along well with the child actors, feeding them cotton candy and listening to them tell stories. Go Min Si shares, “I can’t ride rollercoasters with my eyes open,” and she explains by screaming with her eyes closed. When asked if anything good had happened because she is smiling, Go Min Si replies that she’s always happy on set. The staff jokingly comments, “That’s pretense,” and Go Min Si plays along by saying, “I want to go home.”
