Former The Ark And KHAN Member Euna Kim Talks About Retiring As Idol + Announces Marriage Plans
Euna Kim is preparing to tie the knot!
On May 24, the former The Ark and KHAN member personally posted an important announcement about her marriage and retirement from the industry.

Hello, this is Euna Kim. It’s been a long time since I wrote a letter like this. When I was in Korea, I never even imagined that I would be writing a letter like this.
First, I really wanted to tell everyone who supported me, listened to my music, and looked for me since the time I appeared on an audition program, promoted as a The Ark member, appeared on ‘Unpretty Rapstar 3,’ KHAN, and other places. I spent an ordinary childhood in school without even imagining that I’d be able to become a singer. I laughed and cried from the various experiences in Korea and learned and realized a lot of things. I was able to endure difficult times thanks to the power of the love shown by my colleagues and fans who were of tremendous help.
Some of you may not know, but I came to the United States in the summer of 2019 and have since decided to permanently move here. I could no longer promote as a member of KHAN due to issues within the company, and I needed a new start. After returning to an ordinary everyday life, I was able to adjust well thanks to my family and the people around me that I’m so blessed to have, and I did my best to live every day meaningfully. I then encountered another blessing. I met the person I want to love, grow with, and live with for the rest of my life. I am full of gratitude for having met someone who treats me with sincerity despite my shortcomings and has so many traits that I can learn from. Though we each have many shortcomings, we promised to support each other and be a positive influence and source of energy to those around us.
We will most likely get married within the year.I would like to apologize to my fans and everyone who supported me for disappointing them as they will no longer be able to see me as an idol. I am not certain if I will ever sing again, but I will live my life without regrets as the ordinary person Euna Kim.

In 2011, Euna Kim appeared on Mnet’s audition show “Superstar K” and went on to make her debut with the girl group The Ark in 2015. After the group’s disbandment, she made appearances in Mnet’s “Unpretty Rapstar 3” and KBS’s “The Unit.” She then formed the duo KHAN with former The Ark bandmate Jeon Min Ju in 2018.
