BTS's "Butter" Achieves Their Highest Debut On Billboard's Pop Songs Radio Airplay Chart To Date
BTS’s “Butter” is off to a strong start on the Billboard charts!
On May 25 local time, Billboard announced that BTS’s new single “Butter” had debuted at No. 26 on its Pop Songs radio airplay chart, which ranks each week’s most popular pop songs by measuring total weekly plays on various mainstream Top 40 radio stations in the United States.
The feat is especially impressive considering that “Butter” was released last Friday, May 21—as the Pop Songs chart follows a Monday-to-Sunday cycle, “Butter” managed to enter the chart after just three days of airplay.
The ranking also marks BTS’s highest debut on the chart to date, breaking their previous record of No. 30 (set by “Dynamite” last year).

Unlike radio airplay charts, most Billboard charts that reflect sales and streaming numbers use data from a Friday-to-Thursday cycle, meaning that “Butter” will be hitting Billboard’s sales and streaming charts next week.
Congratulations to BTS!
