EVERGLOW Announces New Leader And Talks About Their Comeback

EVERGLOW has made their comeback with their third single album “Last Melody”!

On May 25, EVERGLOW returned with their new title track “FIRST” and held a comeback fan showcase to celebrate.

EU commented on behalf of the group, “Thank you to our fans who waited so earnestly for us. We love you. We worked hard preparing our performance.”

Sihyeon added, “Our album did come out, right? It doesn’t really feel real. After dancing on stage and thinking about showing our fans our performance, it now feels slightly real. Thinking about how our fans must have felt while waiting for us, I feel apologetic and thankful. This performance is for our Forever [EVERGLOW’s official fan club name], so we hope you enjoy it.”

After a hiatus of eight months, the group shared that they poured as much energy into this comeback as they did for all their past title tracks combined. Describing their dance performance for their new song, the girls also made comments like, “It’s irreplaceable,” “We prepared using every last drop of our energy,” and “We’ve become cooler and more charismatic warriors.”

Two years after their debut, EVERGLOW also revealed that they would be undergoing a leader change from EU to Sihyeon. Sihyeon commented, “Following EU, who has reliably taken of the members since our debut, I have ended up becoming the leader for a new change. In the future, I will take responsibility to make sure our team works harmoniously together and work towards becoming a leader who can communicate.”

EU commented, “Being leader wasn’t hard. I believe and am confident that Sihyeon will do well.” To Sihyeon, she added, “Thank you so much for following me so well until now, and in the future, I’ll become a reinforcement by your side as the oldest member.” To their fans, EU remarked, “Thank you for looking on us lovingly and supporting us. We’ll work to become singers you feel proud of. Please don’t go anywhere, and stay here with us.”
