Yoo Yeon Seok, Ha Jung Woo, Hwang Jung Min, And More Confirmed For New Crime Drama
Netflix’s upcoming original series “Suriname” has announced its main cast!
On May 28, Netflix confirmed that director Yoon Jong Bin’s new series, “Suriname,” would be airing via the streaming platform.
“Suriname” is a drama about a civilian businessman who winds up helping the National Intelligence Service’s secret operation to take down a Korean drug king who is operating in the South American country of Suriname. It is loosely based on a real story.
Director Yoon Jong Bin’s previous projects include the films “The Spy Gone North,” “Kundo: Age of the Rampant,” and “Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time.”
Ha Jung Woo, Hwang Jung Min, Park Hae Soo, Jo Woo Jin, and Yoo Yeon Seok have been confirmed for the cast of “Suriname.” Ha Jung Woo will star as Kang In Goo, the main character, who starts up a business in Suriname hoping to get rich but ends up getting caught in a world of illegal drugs. Hwang Jung Min will co-star as Jeon Yo Hwan, the drug king who is controlling the underground world of Suriname.
Park Hae Soo will play Choi Chang Ho, the team leader of the Americas branch of the National Intelligence Service, who enlists Kang In Goo in his plan to take down Jeon Yo Hwan. Jo Woo Jin will play Byun Gi Tae, an ethnic Korean born and raised in China, who is Jeon Yo Hwan’s right-hand man and takes care of all his dirty business. Yoo Yeon Seok will play David Park, a lawyer who advises Jeon Yo Hwan and acts as the brains of the crime syndicate.
