Previously, Hwang Hee Tae and Kim Myung Hee ended up staying in Gwangju because she couldn’t bear leave the overwhelming number of patients at the hospital. Meanwhile, Lee Soo Chan (Lee Sang Yi) found out his sister Lee Soo Ryun was in Gwangju and not Seoul, but she refused to run away, saying, “Even if I can’t change anything, there are things I can do.” However, she froze with fear when police officer Choi Jung Haeng (Jung Wook Jin) died after being brutally beaten by the soldiers.
In the first set of stills, Hwang Hee Tae and Kim Myung Hee are stained with blood. Hwang Hee Tae clings onto a child with desperation to save him, and he also supports Kim Myung Hee who has turned pale with panic. In addition, he comes face-to-face with a soldier, who is none other than his friend Kim Kyung Soo (Kwon Young Chan). Their faces are shadowed with complex emotions, and they stare at each other as the air thickens with suffocating tension.
The second set of stills show the predicament Lee Soo Ryun is in.
Lee Soo Ryun’s face is scrunched with worry, and she seems to be at a loss of what to do. She is witnessing guns being distributed to citizens, and she grows restless with concern. Unlike her, her friend doesn’t seem to think there’s anything wrong with fighting fire with fire. Lee Soo Ryun will now have to decide if she will go along with her friends to fight against the armed soldiers or find a different way to solve the chaos in Gwangju.
