Bae In Hyuk Compares Himself To His Character In "At A Distance Spring Is Green"
Bae In Hyuk shared insight into his character in KBS 2TV’s “At a Distance Spring is Green”!
Based on a popular webtoon, “At a Distance Spring is Green” is a drama about the realistic struggles of college students facing the harsh realities of a tough world.
Bae In Hyuk plays Nam Soo Hyun, who is a third year business student at Myungil University. Although he frequently falls asleep during lectures after working part-time jobs late into the night, he doesn’t miss an A+ for any of his classes. With his prickly personality that pushes people away, he gives off a “bad boy” aura. Furthermore, he’ll bring strange tension to the drama as he begins a complicated relationship with freshman Yeo Joon (Park Ji Hoon).
In the new stills, Nam Soo Hyun wears his typical cynical expression. Viewers are curious to see how Bae In Hyuk will portray Nam Soo Hyun, who hides his humane side beneath his cold exterior.
Bae In Hyuk shared, “Nam Soo Hyun is a figure who’s lived life with a heavy sense of responsibility. He’s cold, blunt, and objective, but you feel protective and sorry for him while wondering, ‘How did he close himself up like that?'”
On his similarities with Nam Soo Hyun, Bae In Hyuk revealed, “The thing I have in common with Nam Soo Hyun is that we’re both the oldest son. When he shows a great sense of responsibility or interacts with his younger sibling, I feel that we’re similar in the way we think of our families. Our greatest difference is in our personalities. Unlike Nam Soo Hyun who distances himself from the people around him, I’m an extrovert who likes people.”
“At a Distance Spring is Green” premieres on June 14 at 9:30 p.m. KST and will be available with subtitles on Viki!
