BTS's "BE" Tops Billboard's World Albums Chart + "Life Goes On" Re-Enters World Digital Song Sales Chart
Billboard released the World Albums chart and the World Digital Song Sales chart for the week ending on June 5.
BTS’s “BE” took No. 1 again on the World Albums chart for this week, jumping up three places from last week’s No. 4. According to Billboard, BTS is the first act to have four albums spend 20 or more weeks at No. 1 on the World Albums chart. “Love Yourself: Answer” spent 31 weeks at the top of the chart, “Map of the Soul: 7” spent 29 weeks, “Love Yourself: Her” spent 24 weeks, and this is “BE’s” 20th week at the top.
BTS has three of the top five on the World Albums chart this week, with “Map of the Soul: 7” at No. 2 and “Love Yourself: Answer” at No. 3. ENHYPEN and BLACKPINK take No. 4 and No. 5 respectively with “BORDER: CARNIVAL” and “The Album.”
Other BTS albums on the chart include “Map of the Soul: Persona” (No. 8), “Love Yourself: Tear” (No. 9), “Love Yourself: Her” (No. 11), and “Skool Luv Affair” (No. 14). NCT’s “Resonance Pt. 1” was at No. 6 and ITZY’s “Guess Who” ranked at No. 10.
On the World Digital Song Sales chart, “Life Goes On,” BTS’s title track from “BE,” re-entered the chart at No. 1 for its fifth total week at that position. Other songs on the chart this week included “Dope” (No. 3), “Filter” (No. 9), “Boy With Luv” (No. 10), “Euphoria” (No. 12), “Film Out” (No. 13), “My Time” (No. 17), “MIC Drop (Remix)” (No. 18), “ON” (No. 19), and “Blue & Grey” (No. 24).
EVERGLOW had three new songs enter the chart this week, with “First” ranking at No. 5, “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” at No. 20, and “Please Please” at No. 21. Taemin’s “Advice” took No. 8, aespa’s “Next Level” took No. 11, BLACKPINK’s “How You Like That” at No. 14, ITZY’s “In the Morning” at No. 23, and ENHYPEN’s “Fever” at No. 25.
BTS also made history this week as “Butter” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as the Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.
