TXT Debuts In Top 5 Of Billboard 200 With "The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE" + Becomes 3rd K-Pop Group To Chart 2 Albums In 1 Year
TXT has achieved their highest ranking yet on the Billboard 200 with their new album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE“!
On June 13 local time, Billboard announced that TXT’s second studio album “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” had debuted at No. 5 on its famous Top 200 Albums chart, its weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.
Notably, the achievement marks TXT’s first time entering the top 10 on the Billboard 200—as well as their fourth entry on the chart overall, following their 2019 mini album “The Dream Chapter: STAR,” their 2020 mini album “minisode1: Blue Hour” (which peaked at No. 25), and their 2021 Japanese album “Still Dreaming.”
TXT is now only the third K-pop group in history to chart multiple albums on the Billboard 200 in the same year, following BTS and TWICE.
According to MRC Data (formerly Nielsen Music), “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” earned a total of 43,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on June 10. The album’s total score consisted of 39,000 traditional album sales and 4,000 streaming equivalent album (SEA) units—which translates to 6.42 million on-demand audio streams over the course of the week.
Congratulations to TXT on their impressive feat!
