BTS's 'Butter' Becomes Their 1st Song To Top Billboard Hot 100 For 3 Consecutive Weeks

BTS’s “Butter” has set a new record on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart!

On June 14 local time, Billboard revealed that “Butter” had topped the Hot 100—Billboard’s weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States—for the third week in a row. The song, which was released on May 21, debuted at No. 1 for the week of June 5 and has remained at No. 1 on the chart ever since.

“Butter” is now BTS’s first song to spend three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. BTS’s 2020 hit “Dynamite” hit No. 1 for a total of three non-consecutive times, meaning that “Butter” is also tied for “Dynamite” as the group’s longest-running song at No. 1 on the Hot 100.

According to Billboard, “Butter” garnered 15.4 million streams and 138,400 downloads in the United States in the week ending on June 10. It also received 24.6 million radio airplay audience impressions in the week ending on June 13, a 10 percent increase from last week.

“Butter” also topped the Global Excl. U.S. chart for the third week in a row and placed second on the Global 200 chart.

A few hours earlier, BTS had announced the release of a new CD version of “Butter,” which will also include a new track, on July 9.

This week’s Hot 100 is for the week dated June 19. The full charts will update on Billboard on June 15 local time.

Congratulations to BTS!
