Song Kang And Han So Hee Talk About What Sets Their New Drama "Nevertheless" Apart From Other Campus Romances

Song Kang and Han So Hee have shared their thoughts on their new drama “Nevertheless”!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Nevertheless” is a JTBC romance drama starring Han So Hee as Yoo Na Bi, a woman who doesn’t believe in love but still wants to date, and Song Kang as Park Jae Uhn, a man who doesn’t want to date but still wants to have flings.

Despite becoming disillusioned about love due to her failed first relationship, Yoo Na Bi finds herself uncontrollably drawn to the charming and popular Park Jae Uhn. Ignoring the glaring red flags and warnings of those around her, Yoo Na Bi gets entangled in a confusing relationship with the other student that takes her on a dizzying roller coaster ride of complicated emotions.

Describing what he considered the drama’s unique charm, Song Kang remarked, “I think [‘Nevertheless’] is an appealing drama that is set apart by how different it is from the other campus romances we’ve seen up until now.”

He continued, “I think you’ll be able to feel an entirely different vibe from the innocently youthful and lovey-dovey romances of the past. Even as I film the drama, I keep thinking to myself that this is so new and different. I think that viewers will also be drawn to this aspect of the drama.”

Meanwhile, Han So Hee commented, “Just like the title of the drama, there are emotions that ‘even though you know [what’s going on], you can’t help but feel nevertheless.’ The drama portrays those feelings realistically and in great detail. I hope that you’ll watch while focusing on the question of whether these two people were fated to meet, or not—and whether this will be love, or not.”

She went on to share, “I’m really nervous because of how much love and interest we received even before the premiere, but since we worked really hard during filming, please be sure to tune in. I hope that [‘Nevertheless’] becomes a drama that can remain in viewers’ hearts. Please root for Na Bi’s love.”
