TWICE Makes Billboard History As 1st Girl Group (From Any Country) To Hit No. 1 On Top Album Sales Chart With An EP
TWICE has achieved a historic first on the Billboard charts!
For the week ending on June 26, TWICE’s new mini album “Taste of Love” debuted at No. 1 on three separate Billboard charts. “Taste of Love” entered Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart, Top Current Album Sales chart, and World Albums chart at No. 1.
With this latest achievement, TWICE has become the first girl group in history—not just K-pop—ever to top Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart with an EP. Only five other girl groups have ever topped the chart with any album at all: Destiny’s Child, TLC, Spice Girls, Danity Kane, and BLACKPINK.
TWICE also became the first female K-pop act in history to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200 with an EP (mini album) this week, with “Taste of Love” making an impressive debut at No. 6.
Additionally, TWICE reentered Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 9, marking their highest ranking on the chart to date.
Meanwhile, TWICE’s new title track “Alcohol-Free” debuted at No. 3 on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart this week. The song also entered Billboard’s Global 200 chart at No. 41 and Global Excl. U.S. chart at No. 22.
Congratulations to TWICE on making Billboard history!
