Song Joong Ki, Lee Hee Joon, And Kwon Hae Hyo's New Movie To Complete Filming In Korea Instead Of Colombia

Song Joong Ki, Lee Hee Joon, and Kwon Hae Hyo’s upcoming film “Bogotá” will finish filming in Korea instead of its original plans to film in Colombia.

Directed by Kim Sung Se, “Bogotá” is a crime thriller set in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, about a group of people struggling to make a better life for themselves in the 1990s.

The movie had begun filming in Colombia in January 2020, filming about 40 percent of the movie before the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to return to Korea in March 2020. The rest of filming was then postponed until 2021. In March 2021, there were discussions about whether to return to Colombia to finish filming, but now it has been decided that the movie will finish production in Korea instead.

“Bogotá” resumed filming in Korea on June 21 and will continue for about three months. Using the footage from Colombia as a basis, the entire production will be reorganized to adjust to the new filming conditions.

In the movie, Song Joong Ki plays Guk Hee, who goes through numerous ups and downs in life after arriving in Bogotá as a 19-year-old and struggling to make it in the world of business. Lee Hee Joon plays Soo Young, who arrives in Colombia as an employee of a major corporation. His strong survival instincts and cool business skills help him succeed in Bogotá. Kwon Hae Hyo plays Sergeant Park, a former comrade-in-arms of Guk Hee’s father during the Vietnam War and the head of the local Korean association in Bogotá.

IDIOPLAN, the production company behind “Bogotá,” stated, “As we restart filming under these difficult conditions, our top priority is to follow the infection prevention guidelines and ensure the safety and health of our cast and crew. We will do our best to make a good movie in safe conditions.”
