Uee In Talks To Join Rain In Upcoming Ghost Medical Drama
Uee may be joining Rain in his new fantasy medical drama “Ghost Doctor” (literal title)!
On June 23, OSEN reported that Uee will be starring in “Ghost Doctor.” In response, a source from Uee’s agency Lucky Company clarified, “Uee is positively reviewing the offer to star in ‘Ghost Doctor'”
Directed by Boo Sung Chul of “Heirs” and “Our Gap Soon” and written by Kim Sun Soo of “Live Up to Your Name,” the upcoming drama “Ghost Doctor” is about two doctors who could not be more different in skills and personalities but end up combining spirits and bodies. It will depict the heartwarming story of ghost doctors who can’t leave behind the hospital and patients even after they’ve passed away.
Previously, it was confirmed that Rain will be taking on the lead role of Cha Young Min, a selfish and arrogant genius doctor with crazy medical skills. If Uee accepts the offer, she’ll be taking on a leading role along with Rain. This will also be her first new drama in a year.
After making her debut in 2009, Uee starred as the lead of numerous dramas including “Ojakgyo Brothers,” “High Society,” “Marriage Contract,” “Night Light,” and “My Husband, Mr. Oh!” Uee also captivated viewers all over the globe with her hit KBS2 weekend drama “My Only One,” and she showcased another acting transformation through MBC’s “SF8.”
“Ghost Doctor” will be produced by Bon Factory, the company behind the well-known dramas “You’re Beautiful,” “Master’s Sun,” “She Was Pretty,” “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim,” “Encounter,” and more.
The drama will reportedly air in the second half of this year.
