Watch: "The Devil Judge" Previews Ji Sung, GOT7's Jinyoung, And Kim Min Jung In A Dystopian World In New Teaser

Upcoming tvN drama “The Devil Judge” shared a sneak peek of its first episode!

“The Devil Judge” takes place in an alternate-universe dystopian Korea where the entire nation participates in a live broadcast courtroom show. Ji Sung stars as the titular “devil judge,” Kang Yo Han. Is he a hero of the people in chaotic times or is he a devil who wears the mask of the law?

GOT7’s Jinyoung co-stars as Kim Ga On, an associate judge, who gets suspicious about head judge Kang Yo Han’s motives and methods. Kim Min Jung co-stars as Jung Sun Ah, Kang Yo Han’s nemesis and the executive director of the social responsibility foundation.

The teaser shows a glimpse of the dystopian world where the three characters live in. Kang Yo Han’s voiceover claims, “It’s unfortunate, but in reality, there’s no such thing as justice. There’s just a game called injustice.” Kim Ga On enters the empty courtroom that will be used for the show, and he looks around in disbelief as he asks, “This is a courtroom?” Jung Sun Ah also shows her mysterious side as she approaches different people who are in power. She asks, “Who do you think is really managing the country’s affairs?”

Kang Yo Han and Kim Ga On appear on the show in their majestic robes. Some people are thrilled by it while others, including Kim Ga On, are aghast by what’s going on. Kim Ga On wonders, “Is this a trial to reveal crimes, or is it the opposite?” Kang Yo Han vehemently claims he’s power and adds, “The owner of this court is all of you, the sovereign.”

“The Devil Judge” premieres on July 3 at 9 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
