CJ ENM Confirms Discussions Of IZ*ONE's Relaunch Have Fallen Through
Discussions of a potential revival of the project group IZ*ONE have fallen through.
Last month, CJ ENM (Mnet’s parent company) revealed that they were in talks with the IZ*ONE members’ agencies about the group potentially getting back together.
However, on July 6, a source from CJ ENM stated to Edaily, “Until recently, we spoke with the agencies while leaving various options open for consideration, but [IZ*ONE’s reunion] ultimately fell through.” They added, “Regardless of the whether or not they are getting back together, please show lots of encouragement and support for the members’ futures.”
IZ*ONE was formed in 2018 as a temporary project group on Mnet’s idol audition program “Produce 48,” and they made their official debut in October of that year. After promoting together for two and a half years, the group officially disbanded this April. The members have since returned to their respective agencies.
