Watch: NCT DREAM Dances To aespa, EXO, SHINee, And Super Junior On "Weekly Idol"
NCT DREAM took on hit songs by several of their SM Entertainment labelmates on “Weekly Idol”!
On the July 7 episode of the MBC every1 variety show, all seven members of NCT DREAM appeared together as guests.
In addition to performing their new title track “Hello Future,” the group also prepared a special SM dance medley in which they covered the iconic choreographies to SHINee’s “Replay,” EXO’s “Growl,” and Super Junior’s “Sorry Sorry.”
Before they began, Super Junior’s Eunhyuk cautiously asked the NCT DREAM members which SM senior artists they’d be covering, and when Renjun hinted that they’d be dancing to “Sorry Sorry,” he was adorably unable to hide his delight.
When his fellow host Kwanghee teased him over his obvious excitement, Eunhyuk insisted that it didn’t matter to him whether they covered Super Junior or not—but when Kwanghee pointed out that aespa didn’t cover any songs by Super Junior during their own SM cover medley on “Weekly Idol,” Eunhyuk jokingly turned to the camera and asked, “Are you watching this, aespa?”
Later on in the show, NCT DREAM took on the signature “Weekly Idol” random play dance challenge.
In addition to their own songs, the show randomly ambushed them with hit songs by other artists, including aespa’s “Next Level”—and while they were unprepared, several of the NCT DREAM members clearly knew their way around the choreography.
