Kwak Dong Yeon In Talks To Star In New Drama Written By "Train To Busan" Director
Kwak Dong Yeon may be starring in a brand-new drama!
On July 13, various industry representatives reported that Kwak Dong Yeon was recently cast as the lead role in the new TVing drama “Monstrous” (literal title).
On July 14, his agency H& Entertainment shared, “He was offered the role of Yong Ju and is reviewing it with a favorable outlook.”
“Monstrous” revolves around archaeologists who solve strange cases.
The drama is penned by director Yeon Sang Ho, who directed “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula” and wrote the OCN drama “The Cursed,” and Ryu Yong Jae, who wrote “Pied Piper” and “My Holo Love.” It will be directed by Jang Gun Jae, who won Best Screenplay at the 16th Busan Film Critics Award and Best Director and Best Screenplay at the 3rd Wildflower Film Awards with the film “A Midsummer’s Fantasia.”
In addition, it will be produced by Climax Studio, which produced the movie “Concrete Utopia” and Netflix’s “Hellbound.”
Kwak Dong Yeon recently impressed fans with his acting in tvN’s “Vincenzo,” and they are eager to find out if he will team up with Yeon Sang Ho for a new project. The actor is also in talks to star in the Netflix original series “Hunting Dogs” (literal title).
