Watch: Hyeri Can't Hold Back Tears During Her Last Day Filming "My Roommate Is A Gumiho"
Hyeri has uploaded a behind-the-scenes look at her last day filming for tvN’s “My Roomate Is a Gumiho”!
“My Roommate Is a Gumiho” starred Jang Ki Yong and Girl’s Day’s Hyeri in a rom-com about a 999-year-old male gumiho who ends up living with a 22-year-old college student after she swallows the magical bead that would have made him human.
In the vlog that Hyeri posted on her YouTube channel, she gives viewers a look at her eventful final day of filming. Beginning with an audio recording, the camera focuses on her hands which are squeezed tight despite the fact that only her voice is being recorded. She then breaks into a song about it being her last recording, before suddenly standing up and leaving to go change her outfit.
While in the dressing room, Hyeri gets ready to enjoy the macarons sent to her by Oh Hyun Jong, the director of her drama “Two Cops.” However, as soon as she takes a bite, she is called over for filming, and she shoots the camera a displeased look. She continues her playful antics on set, showing off pictures of her dog Hodu and talking about how they look alike.
When she prepares for her kiss scene with Jang Ki Yong, she proudly states, “My head is really round, right?” Jang Ki Yong checks the back of his own head to compare their shapes, which makes her laugh. Hyeri then prepares for her final scene, trying to hold back her tears. When Jang Ki Yong hears the news, he comes over to console her while also joking about her waterworks.
After wrapping up filming, Hyeri is then gifted with multiple bouquets of flowers. She jokes, “Don’t I look like the main character? I got three,” which makes those around her laugh. Just when she was trying to say that she did a good job holding herself together, she grows teary-eyed again, enduring more teasing from the staff who reminded her that she said she wouldn’t cry.
Hyeri proceeds to do everything with tears in her eyes, including taking pictures with the staff members. She bursts into tears yet again after seeing Kim Do Wan and Jang Ki Yong, but then ends up laughing at her own reaction.
Hyeri then walks into a surprise party prepared for her by the staff at her beauty salon and manager, expressing her curiosity about the big box in the middle of the room. She opens it to find a new purse, breaking into tears yet again before handing out her own gifts to the staff.
Afterwards, she walks out to find a mysterious tent in the parking lot and opens it to reveal the interior decorated with lights and a celebratory cake. Sitting down and holding the cake, Hyeri tearfully says to the camera, “Thank you so much to the staff who worked so hard for the past six months. It was so difficult for me too. I hope that this drama will be a good one. Thank you to the viewers for giving us so much love. This is an unforgettable drama for me, so please keep it in your memories and show it lots of love. Thank you.”
Finally, Hyeri plays along by laying down inside the tent and letting the staff zip up the door, ending with a final “thank you” as she waves to the camera.
