Yoo Jae Suk Brings Up Yoon Eun Hye Again As Nam Ji Hyun And Ha Do Kwon Test Their Strength Against Song Ji Hyo And Kim Jong Kook
On the July 18 episode of SBS’s “Running Man,” Nam Ji Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, and Ha Do Kwon appeared as guests.
Spoilers
The three actors are starring in the tving drama “The Witch’s Diner” with Song Ji Hyo. Although dramas that are promoted on “Running Man” tend to be from SBS, Song Ji Hyo was able to invite her co-stars from a different broadcaster because of her status as a fixed member of the cast.
As soon as he was introduced, Ha Do Kwon joked that he chose his acting projects so that he could guest on “Running Man” and keep challenging Kim Jong Kook in battles of strength. As for Nam Ji Hyun, this was her first appearance on “Running Man” in six years, while this was Chae Jong Hyeop’s first time on a variety show. He said, “I studied abroad in Thailand for a year and in South Africa for three years. I worked as a model in South Africa but it didn’t go well, so I decided to come to Korea and try it.”
The format of the “race,” like the concept of “The Witch’s Diner,” was to grant the cast and guests’ wishes. Yoo Jae Suk wished for Ji Suk Jin to be younger than him (so that he could boss him around and use informal speech), while Ji Suk Jin’s was for the production staff to call him by his full name. HaHa and Kim Jong Kook wished for Lee Kwang Soo to appear on “Running Man,” while Song Ji Hyo and Jun So Min requested that the staff tell them the answers for quizzes. Yang Se Chan and HaHa asked for tablets, while Nam Ji Hyun wanted the members to watch the first episode of her drama and share the evidence online. Ha Do Kwon wanted the chance to teach Kim Jong Kook how to work out. Chae Jong Hyeop shared that he was a fan of HaHa and asked for high-quality speakers bought by him.
The first mission was a test of strength, where two people would fight to take the gym ball away from the other person. Song Ji Hyo and Nam Ji Hyun, who act as business partners in the drama, were paired up for the mission. The members commented, “It’s already over. Nam Ji Hyun can’t win against her.” But the showdown turned out to be unexpectedly fierce, with Nam Ji Hyun holding her own with a relaxed smile. Song Ji Hyo said, “Her strength is not a joke. She does everything while laughing.” Nam Ji Hyun also proceeded to take down several of the male members as well.
During Song Ji Hyo and Nam Ji Hyun’s match, Song Ji Hyo’s hair was disarranged and she asked Kim Jong Kook for help in rearranging it. He did, but immediately caught Yoo Jae Suk looking at them suspiciously and protested, “She told me to help her. She told me to do it. Stay still and don’t say anything.” Since Yoo Jae Suk never stays still, he immediately joked, “[Yoon] Eun Hye, I’m sorry.”
Although this episode was filmed before then, Yoon Eun Hye had talked about her old “love line” with Kim Jong Kook on the July 17 episode of JTBC’s “Ask Us Anything.”
Naturally, Ha Do Kwon challenged Kim Jong Kook for the fourth time. Before filming began, he had said, “I think that the energy of the universe is with me today. I will show you the collapse of the YouTuber with 1.4 million subscribers. [Kim Jong Kook currently has 1.87 million subscribers.] Today will be the fall of Kim Jong Kook.”
As soon as the match started, Ha Do Kwon trapped Kim Jong Kook with his feet, and Yoo Jae Suk observed, “This isn’t a UFC match.” But Kim Jong Kook didn’t make it easy for the actor to take away the ball, and Ha Do Kwon said, “Just give it to me once. This is my fourth time here.” Eventually, Ha Do Kwon pushed Kim Jong Kook away with his feet to take the victory. Yang Se Chan quipped, “He won, but it seems like he lost.” Kim Jong Kook joked, “Now don’t come on the show anymore.”
