BTS Tops Billboard's Artist 100, Global 200, Digital Song Sales Chart, And More With 'Permission To Dance'

BTS dominated this week’s Billboard charts with their latest hit!

As previously announced, BTS’s new song “Permission to Dance” made a historic debut at No. 1 on this week’s Hot 100 (Billboard’s weekly ranking of the most popular songs in the United States).

However, the song’s achievements didn’t end there: for the week ending on July 24, “Permission to Dance” also swept the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Digital Song Sales chart, Global 200 chart, and Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Additionally, BTS climbed back up to No. 1 on Billboard’s Artist 100 for their 17th non-consecutive week at the top of the chart, extending their own record as the group with the most weeks at No. 1.

Even with the eventful arrival of “Permission to Dance,” BTS’s previous hit “Butter” stayed strong on the Billboard charts as well. “Butter” charted at No. 7 on the Hot 100 in its eighth week, and it came in at No. 2 on the Digital Song Sales chart, No. 6 on the Global 200, and No. 3 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart. “Butter” also held onto its spot at No. 10 on the Pop Airplay chart (which measures weekly plays on mainstream radio stations across the United States).

Meanwhile, BTS’s long-running 2020 hit “Dynamite” charted at No. 21 on the Global 200 and No. 16 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

Finally, “Permission to Dance” claimed No. 8 on this week’s Streaming Songs chart, followed by “Butter” at No. 27.

Congratulations to BTS!
