"School 2021" Releases Statement About Kim Young Dae's Departure From Drama + To Cast New Actor
“School 2021” has shared a new statement about Kim Young Dae leaving the cast of “School 2021.”
Kim Young Dae’s agency previously announced on July 15 that the actor will no longer be starring in the upcoming KBS drama. At the time, “School 2021” production team commented that the decision was made without discussion and that they would work to reach a settlement.
On July 23, “School 2021” confirmed that Kim Young Dae will be leaving the drama with a new statement:
This is an official statement regarding actor Kim Young Dae’s exit from “School 2021.”
As of now, “School 2021” has received a one-sided notification of departure from actor Kim Young Dae’s agency.
This has inevitably affected production, and the plan is to begin filming soon after finding a replacement for the actor.
The decision to leave needs mutual agreement as much as the decision to star in a drama, and we find it a deep pity that the agency gave a one-sided notification of the leading actor’s departure from the drama without agreement.
The actors and staff of “School 2021” will become one with full effort to greet viewers with a great project aimed to be broadcast in the second half of this year.
Thank you.
Part of KBS’s representative school genre series, upcoming drama “School 2021” is set to star WEi’s Kim Yo Han, Cho Yi Hyun, and Hwang Bo Reum Byeol.
