2021 The Fact Music Awards Announces Date & Details For October Ceremony
The Fact Music Awards has officially revealed the date and details for this year’s ceremony!
On July 26, the organizing committee for The Fact Music Awards announced, “The 2021 The Fact Music Awards will be held on October 2 in an ‘ontact’ [a catchphrase meaning online and contact-free] fashion.”
Last year’s The Fact Music Awards, which took place in December 2020, was also held as an “ontact” ceremony with no in-person audience. As with last year’s show, the 2021 The Fact Music Awards will be streamed online to protect the safety of both artists and their fans amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the organizing committee, the award ceremony will feature a star-studded lineup of K-pop artists—as well as special performances that can’t be seen on ordinary music shows or at other concerts.
This year’s awards will be determined through a mix of objective data, such as album sales and songs’ digital results, and the analysis of a panel of judges. Some awards will also be decided based on the support and participation of fans both within Korea and abroad.
A representative of the committee commented, “We will be using cutting-edge technology and broadcasting methods so that K-pop fans both within Korea and abroad can vividly enjoy a ‘2021 The Fact Music Awards’ that transcends offline space.”
They added, “We will do our utmost to prepare an award ceremony that can become a huge source of strength to everyone who is still going through a difficult time because of COVID-19. We ask that you show a lot of interest and support for the ‘2021 The Fact Music Awards.'”
The Fact Music Awards will announce this year’s lineup of performing artists, as well as the official criteria for its awards, at a later date. Stay tuned for updates!
