Yoo Teo Confirmed To Star As Lead Of Hollywood Film From Company That Produced "Minari"
Yoo Teo will be going to Hollywood for his next film!
On August 3, it was confirmed that Yoo Teo would be starring as the lead of the upcoming film “Past Lives,” which will be produced and distributed by A24, the company that also produced “Minari” and “Moonlight.”
The new project, which A24 and CJ ENM will be co-producing and investing in, will be both written and helmed by director Celine Song. Yoo Teo will be starring alongside Greta Lee from Netflix’s “Russian Doll” and the film “Sisters.”
“Past Lives” will follow the love story between a man and a woman, who met in Korea as lovers when they were young, as they reunite after becoming adults. Christine Vachon and Pamela Koffler of Killer Films will participate in the production, and John Magaro has also been confirmed for a supporting role.
Previously, Yoo Teo was invited to the 71st Cannes International Film Festival for his performance in the Russian film “Summer.” He has already been praised globally for his detailed acting as Russia’s music hero Viktor Tsoi. Afterwards, Yoo Teo starred in the Korean film “Vertigo” and the dramas “Money Game” and “The School Nurse Files.” Currently, he’s starring in the tvN variety show “Honeymoon Tavern.”
