BTS, EXO's D.O., TXT, BLACKPINK, And SEVENTEEN Claim Top Spots On Billboard's World Albums Chart
Billboard has released its World Albums chart for the week ending on August 7!
Once again, BTS landed a total of seven albums in the top 15 this week. “Map of the Soul: 7” spent its 34th non-consecutive week at No. 1, followed by “BE” at No. 5, “Love Yourself: Tear” at No. 8, “Map of the Soul: Persona” at No. 9, “Love Yourself: Her” at No. 10, “Love Yourself: Answer” at No. 11, and “Skool Luv Affair” at No. 13.
Meanwhile, TXT’s “The Chaos Chapter: FREEZE” rose to No. 3 in its ninth week on the chart. The album also climbed back up several other charts this week, including the Billboard 200, where it extended its own record as the longest-charting K-pop album of the year.
BLACKPINK’s “THE ALBUM” maintained its position at No. 6 in its 43rd week on the chart, while SEVENTEEN’s “Your Choice” stayed strong at No. 12 in its sixth.
Finally, EXO’s D.O.’s first solo mini album “Empathy” debuted at No. 14 on this week’s chart. D.O.’s title track “Rose,” for which he personally penned the lyrics, also entered Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 16.
